USA State Song: New York - I Love New York

I Love New York (stylized I ❤ NY) is both a logo and a song that are the basis of an advertising campaign and have been used since 1977 to promote tourism in New York City, and New York State. The trademarked logo, owned by the New York State Department of Economic Development, appears in souvenir shops and brochures throughout the state, some licensed, many not. The song is the state song of New York.

You had to understand the times. Released in 1977 after near-NYC Bankruptcy, the Burning of the South Bronx, Rioting and Looting of the 1977 Blackout - New York's reputation was in tatters. The I Love New York campaign sought to revive our image of all things that we have in New York. Broadway was featured as were other parts of the State. Attractive NY then saw rebuilding of the City and return of visitors and vacationers.

I do love new york. its my home state, it’s diverse, it’s got so many historic sites, it’s got so much natural beauty, and I wouldn’t wanna live in any other state. THERE IS MORE TO IT THAN THE CITY (although i do love the city as well)
