Dirt Rally 2.0 : The Boring Driver Wins the Race

...unless you're one of those annoyingly brilliant drivers.

I've been playing Dirt Rally 2.0 for months, but finally feel ready to move on. I was in no rush to play it or to make a video about it, but I've enjoyed doing both. And I knew I would. In short: Dirt Rally 2.0 is more of the same, with different stages, cars, minor differences in gameplay, but this time around I've dabbled with a lot more types of cars and gamemodes, even trying my hand at the online leaderboards.

The AI in the singleplayer actually cheats where it reads your best times from previous race and comes up with a number that makes it harder for you to beat until you start to lose a lot then they become slightly easier. This was explained by the developers in the original Dirt Rally in a live stream a couple of years ago, it's basically rubber banding with time.

Philip, I can assure you that, regardless of where you are on the leaderboards, you are absolutely one of the best Dirt Rally player using keyboard. Nearly all of the top drivers use an actual wheel as a controller, so the fact that you can even get close is extremely impressive.
