Enid Blyton's Five Go To Demon's Rocks - as a multi-actor dramatic audiobook play. Book 19 of the original Famous Five series.

Is there any treasure at Demon's Rocks? Or is it just a myth? The Famous Five decide to explore the caves surrounding Tinker's lighthouse. Then they find a gold coin - and the myth becomes all too real...

It is abridged by John Lewis with a 60 minute running time, the story still works well with enough tension and drama. These shorter dramatizations are ideal for 'reading' in a single sitting and are great for relaxing bedtime, or car journeys with kids. Recorded/released by Hodder Children's Audiobooks, performed by Nick McArdle, Nigel Pegram and Jonathan Keble; with Rowan d'Albert as Julian, Adam Free-Paske as Dick, Jo Thurley as George, and Scarlett Strallen as Anne.

This is shared from a recording of a cassette tape, sadly this one was a bit rough, so lots of old-fashioned tape noises, but still listenable and an enjoyable telling for childhood nostalgia and relaxation or for excitement in new generation of imaginative listeners.

I am not sure if it says this in the actual book but I have always wondered why uncle Quentin and the other scientist didn't just go to the lighthouse themselves instead of the six? After all, there is only two of them and six of the others. But I think that I shouldn't question a book as well.
