Snake vs Cat. The house cat got a little brave with this snake. Mossy Oak's Dustin "Shed" Whitacre caught this on camera while out doing some work in his yard. Pay close attention to the slow-motion portion at 0:15!

Not only did the cat dodge, but he landed a perfect counter-punch to the snakes head.  So fast you can only see it in slow-motion.

People don't give cats the credit they deserve. They're incredibly wise creatures, and their kinetic intelligence is unparalleled. When feral, they tend to outcompete everything else in their environment. People worry about letting their cats outside, but they're more likely to be the predator than the prey.

feline reflexes, its not even a contest, if the cat is on guard no animal can beat it with sudden movements, they're just wired to be faster than reptiles

Saw my cat do a similiar move when "playing" with an adder - but instead of slapping it with a paw, cat bit upper half of snake's head away, leaving only the lower jaw there... I used to be worried about cat meeting a snake some day, until I saw how easily he can handle them.

Cats have naturally faster reflexes than snakes. The snake tried to strike the cat twice.

I had a friend whose cat killed a number of rattlesnakes. Eventually, the cat  took a bite on the paw, but survived. Anti-venom is not cheap, pet owners.

I'm never short of being amazed at how fast and accurate a cat is when it comes to hunting, attacking, etc. Cats are truly amazing. This cat dodged and while dodging managed to slap/claw the snake all within a blink of an eye. Never a dull moment when they're in action.

Cats have to be very very fast otherwise they would never catch a mouse. I once had two mice who loved to escape from their cages, and I can tell you - they move with the speed of light! And jump very high too, and make very unexpected and sudden movements. Once I had one cornered in the bathroom, i moved every obstacle out of the room and closed the door - and still couldn't get it, it was just too damn fast. I normally had to wait 4 - 5 days until they climbed back into their cage voluntarily to eat and drink.
A cat has to kill 12 - 20 mice every day to survive. So yes, they must have incredible reflexes.
