Downing Street Christmas Party: Rees-Mogg scrutinised over laughing video

DOWNING Street Christmas Party latest: Leader of the House of Commons Jacob Rees-Mogg has today faced scrutiny by his peers in the House over a leaked video of him laughing emerged yesterday.

The government has been rocked by public outrage over a leaked video emerged on Tuesday evening of the Prime Minister's Aide Allegra Stratton laughing in a mock press briefing. Stratton has since resigned.

Jacob Rees-Mogg today faced claims he should follow suit with Stratton after footage came to light of the government minister laughing at a private event about social distancing measures last year, during the height of the pandemic.

An investigation has been launched to identify if a social gathering occurred at number 10 Downing Street last December or not, and if social distancing regulations were broken or not.

Mogg says we have 11000 more police officers on the streets. However that still leaves them 9000 short of 10 years ago, with a bigger population and a much smaller budget. Plus he hasn't factored in the people that leave through retirement etc. And the 11000 are inexperienced. He's full of it!
