55% of medical students majored in Biology/Biological sciences, so you can major in that. Psychology is very common as well.
You can major in anything as long as you meet the medical school prerequisites.

Thanks for the info! I was looking at doing ADN nursing just to make money while going to school to get my med school prerequisites...because I am older I’m more focused than the kid I was back in the day. Had a lot of knee surgeries from sports always clicked with the anesthesiologist...which is the field I want to pursue...I hope I’m not too old but I know I can do it!

Biology majors do have the advantage of not having to take the premed prerequisites. However, with every applicant being a biology major, how can you stand out? Besides the premed route, biology as a major has little to no occupational value.

Major in biochemstry or biology. You need your biochmistry a lot when in medical school.. Majoring in geography is not going to help..
