The first one looks like my dog when she was dry and the second one looks like my dog when she got wet! She was my lifelong dog. Sadly she passed away a few days ago 😢.

This is not a breed though...As a groomer it's irritating that there is one perspective of a "cockapoo". Many of my clients do not look like this and genetics simply don't work as described, you have no idea what traits will be passed on. 

You've not even mentioned anything about taking into consideration if it's an English cocker spaniel, working cocker spaniel or American cocker spaniel. Not even what size of poodle they are being mixed with - yes, I've had a client come in with a cockapoo the size of a standard poodle and the owner didn't even know they would end up that big. These things all make a huge impact on the dog. 

Not to mention an ethical breeder would not mix breeds like this. I've yet to find someone ethically breeding this mix that is actually aiming to create a consistent look and temperament and essentially have it become a true breed.

Many people think pure bred dogs is just for the pedigree and a snobby thing. True dog people know breeds are important to ensure temperament traits are consistent so that people can choose a dog breed that they can provide the correct life for. I am not a pedigree snob and I think with the correct and ethical purpose and intentions mixing breeds has its place, but not like this.

Just get a spaniel since most doodle owners ask them not to look like a poodle. Or get a poodle and dont give it a traditional/stereotypical poodle cut. Or a Tibetan terrier even, they can get the same haircut and look just like doodles do.
