When dialing in your Breville Barista Pro, you may encounter two common issues shown in the video.
Before making any adjustments to other variables, first check the grind size. If the shot is too slow, try adjusting the grind one step coarser. Conversely, if the shot is too fast, make it one step finer. Continue this process until you achieve the optimal flow rate.
As a rule of thumb, aim for 16g of coffee grounds yielding 32g of liquid espresso in approximately 25 to 30 seconds.
Once you've nailed the right flow rate, you can then begin to fine-tune the flavor by adjusting the brew temperature and dosage.
