we have insulated hens and a cat. the hens have a plastic house ( can be scrubbed and hosed out to prevent red mites ~not sure if you have them there) and the cat owns a house which she allows us to share. you have plenty of space to insulate anything you like,

My dad always kept a insulated root cellar. Could work for you in the future.

Insulation the master bedroom or to keep sound in. 😲 Use the extra to insulated a garden shed to use as a big doghouse. Insulating the chicken house is a good Idea too.
