Growing up with Filipino Food, I was never a fan of Sisig but nowadays its one of my favorite Filipino dish. I wonder what happened.

My brother who lives in Chicago loves pansit. When they come home it's pansit for lunch and dinner.
So if they stay here for a month, it's a month of pansit, all kind, canton, bihon, miki guisado, palabok name it, every time, everyday!

Looks good but rather than go to Gerry's why not try an amazing independent Filipino restaurant in Lakewood (near Long Beach) and only 8 MINUTES from Artesia.
It's called Kainan Sa Kanto - every dish was amazing and so much better to support a Filipina family business rather than a big chain.
We ate there at the end of a 6.5 week tour of Canada and USA and we were missing Filipino food. Back in Philippines now, Negros Oriental.

Oooo everything looks delicious!! I ate a lot of Filipino food when I was a child. My Pinay grandma had a kamayan feast every Sundays after church. All our family and her church friends would gather there. Now that I'm an adult I don't have it as often but I always have lumpia in the freezer 😂

For the people who love spicy food!

Ever since Filipinos learned how to make chiu chow chili style oil - there have been people looking for spicy garlic rice. Same ingredients for garlic rice except one.

Add chili oil to taste in the finished garlic rice, toss and mix and you are done.

Chili garlic rice anyone?
