Turkey is not safe for any investor

I was inspired by this video by a Reuter’s article titled “Cold Turkey: investor exodus tests Erdogan's economic experiment”. It is certainly sad but very true. Turkey’s currency and bond markets are now completely manipulated by state agencies. The Swap market is open and shut at will. But, the threat for investment goes for foreign direct and domestic companies, as well, who are no longer protected by the rule of law. Turkey is a savings-deficit and foreign credit dependent country. Treating investors as pariahs and killing the free market saps its famous dynamism, as well as harming its development. The underlying problem is Erdogan’s steady loss of popularity, which is trying to address my manipulating markets, rather than changing policies.
