"Mining the moon for water." Huh? Earth is covered with water and desalination is very economical.

I dont understand how 50 plus years ago we landed man on the moon and returned them home... Yet in 2022 we cannot do this ? Lol how does any of this make sense ?

Rocket lifting off is metaphor for current inflation and rising cost of living

Oh really. Looks like same 💩 as decades ago. Should've been further than this now. But whatever.

Why don’t you make space exploration fully electric? It would be better for the environment. SIKE! Electric tech is sub par

Why spend money on this when you have a huge drug epidemic, homeless people 💩ing on streets and a huge student debt crisis. Let's not talk about gun violence inflation racism etc etc etc.

Ngl, probably should be focusing more on helping those in need on our own planet but thats just me.

Building the same rocket from 1960"s with spare parts took them 20 year's for a test. Just think in another 50 will actually put people in it lol.

Strapped budgets? Because we paid Russia to launch for years!

Very honest to admit this is a new era.
Unmanned flights to the moon certainly trumps fake manned flights!

NASA channel doesn’t allow comments.
Let that sink in…

Miserable comments section. Launch was sick. When we went in the 60s, it was all a flex to the USSR with no thought of the future. Now, we are thinking long-term about using the moon to support future missions to Mars. Finally, some useful spending out of the government.

And I'm sure if we go back to the moon there'll be one of every color. We need to get out into space to find some kind of mineral that That Burns forever so we can get farther out into space.

We're in a new era of doing things we did 50 years ago. Yeah, us.

Looks like a huge waste of money! Just another example of our government spending recklessly without accountability! 93 billion dollars. SMH

New era? We are going back where we supposedly went in the 1960s.

Yeah 93 billion to explore the Moon is somehow a problem but giving Ukraine billions every few weeks is okay. Makes perfect sense.
