I relate so much to you saying you don’t feel like you’re enough when you’re seeing people thriving on social media. It’s really nice to take a step back and breathe for a second. Glad to see you taking charge of your life. ❤️

I recently started therapy and the first thing I worked on was writing down a loose routine that I try to stick to. This includes doing some sort of cardio in the morning, doing some sort of makeup look, dedicating 2-3 hours to job searching, then 4-5 hours of chores and projects around the house, then journaling and reading at the end of the day. My best friend will call me to check on me and see how my routine has been going. I've also worked on not beating myself up for not sticking to the routine and taking it one day at a time. Definitely love that you have been reading more and spending less time on social media. That's been helping me a lot too. I love that you are taking care of yourself!

I’ve been in a funk also. I think the hardest thing is everything I’ve had to look forward to has been canceled. My friends wedding, bachelorette party, state fair, concerts, and going to movies. What’s been helpful for me is walking, cooking, and reading. Also, Spending time with my dogs. Thanks Kiki ❤️

Girl, your apartment is beautiful!!! What a gorgeous view. Something that helps me is getting fresh air. I am drawn to water and even just walking along the lake or sitting on a bench watching the lake helps me.

The shot of you vacuuming with your hand in your pocket spoke volumes. It seemed to say, "I just want to be in bed under the covers, but I am doing what I know is best for me." So many of us feel you. And it is great that you are being vulnerable with your audience. I am coming out of 18 months of depression and 5 months of PTSD. I've made a conscious decision to be open about the whole journey both in person and on social media (hopefully not in an awkward way - ha!). Now that I seem to be on the other side of it, I am so thankful that I was open with everyone. You, unlike me, actually have a following, so it is wonderful that you are being open about this. People need to hear that other people are struggling.
Finally, just a word of encouragement. It's possible that the good habits you are working on won't make you feel instantly better. Keep doing them, because not doing them will definitely make you feel worse.

I have an old glass jar that I call my 'thank-you jar'. I write a note of something/someone that i'm grateful for, at start of (mostly) each day; collect these notes in the jar. When I'm feeling low, I pick out a note or 2 from the jar, and it makes me feel better to read something positive.

Definitely can relate especially with everything going on. I keep telling myself “I’ll work out today for sure!” Then I don’t so I put off showering then before I know it I haven’t showered in days because everyday during quarantine just blends together.

Whenever I have a bad day, I do what is called Opposite Action. It’s exactly what you think it is. Instead of giving into the impulses to stay in bed or not take care of yourself or isolate or whatever unhealthy coping mechanism you use, you do the opposite! You get out of bed, you shower, dress, do your make up, talk to your friends and family, and do your best to do and be better everyday.

You’re a good influence and thank you for this practical video. It’s good motivation to keep moving and a great reminder that getting little things done feels productive and comforting.

I’m trying to motivate myself as well. It’s harder when you live in a climate where it’s still chilly.

Totally with you on the reading part! It’s scary to think how much time we spend looking at our screens on a daily basis. Yoga is also amazing for helping you to get out of a funk! I’ve been practicing for 20 days now and it’s really helped me to relax and take some time out for myself.

I loved this video! Between financial stress, school, work, sick family members, and this pandemic I have been a wreck. I have been in such a bad place mentally and I find myself self sabotaging a lot when I know there are things I could be doing to help myself feel better. I think you’re right, though. I need a plan. In the morning I’m going to bust out my planner, eat a healthier breakfast, and get my ish back together. Love you girl💞

Like we all know, right now is a tough time. I've been feeling down lately as well. I went to Walmart the other day and had this terrible feeling, like someone was pressing on my chest. Anytime I talked with my husband I felt like I could just break down and cry. It's so nice to see someone be transparent. You're awesome!
