I come up with an idea swirling in my head, but then it's difficult to get it on paper, which bothers me, especially when I multitask daily. Competition is real too!

I'm trying to make my own manga "Adventure's of the afterlife" but I don't know how to start it after the introduction of the characters. Each arc has a new villain to challenge and change the characters, I worry that I made a small cast of characters.

Thank you for all this information. This is super useful. I have a story to tell and this is going to help me immensely.

Do you do anything for people who are confident in their art but stuck on creating the story? The rest I can learn as I go, but thinking of ANY story to tell is a massive roadblock for me. It's all fuzzy, even if I have strong emotions about certain topics and themes, like "loneliness in the crowd" etc. The *most* I can do (and I feel it stupid and painful) is broadly planning the story and then... its's blank for me. How do you go from plot points to script? How do you change script to shots? Basically nobody I've seen teaches that!

Also my characters are either ultra-bland or overly quirky, since I'm kinda both. I feel that lots of people strugle with that, since many of us are shut-ins nowadays. How do you go the extra mile, but don't go overboard, especially in the everyday type characters!? I need a good hearted everyman who works hard. I need that secondary character to feel cosy, safe, reliable and trustworthy, so I give him brown hair and eyes, open his body language, dress him in jeans and rolled-sleeved shirt and immediately want to puke, cause how generic he is! But when I try to make a twist it feels cheap, forced and undermining the character.

I try to move on with drawing my comic and designs for game, because you can't get experience without doing the thing, but it feels so disheartening how bad everything I make is. Especially since it's really easy to find tips and tricks for bettering your art, but much harder for putting your art to actual use. Well, you can find creative writing books, but that's not really the same topic. Also, if I were good at writing, I'd become a writer, not an artist.

Sorry but I already started my manga before I knew this channel. So the manga is verrry long a vol 1 with 70 pages. And a vol 2 I’m working on with 400+ pages. I wish I would change but I can’t give up.
