Great video! Would you be willing to possibly make a folllw up video / part 2 on how H&R Block deals with small businesses (like a sole proprietorship), particularly the way they handle the schedule C? It seems like it's legit the way the have all these categories, but I'm currently trying to fully wrap my head around that portion.

During the dozen or so years that I lived in Texas, (no state income tax)
I used H&R Block's Federal Tax Softwarw with no problems.

They screwed me 2yrs in a row and they couldn’t help me at all. They gave the wrong routing number. Did my taxes in January and still nothing, never again with h r block

I've used H & R for several years. The guy that owned it was a CPA, that made me feel better than someone who took a few classes. Unfortunately, he past away.
I like the personal touch instead of doing it online. You will get more money for a refund, or less of a tax liability if you owe.

Try tax act. Way way way way better. Compare $50 upfront and losing $2000. That’s how crazy when you compare H&R Block to tax act.

Hey Logan great video I have dual citizenship from the US and Mexico. My mother passed away last year and my brother and I received an inheritance in Mexico. FYI One the properties is a rental property. For the moment we have no plans in selling the properties. Do I need to report the income on the rental property on my US taxes or on in Mexico?

Used H&R Block for about 15 years while living in Texas (no state income tax) and had no problem. Retired to Arkansas and the problems began. H&R Block's Arkansas State Tax Return software determined my wife's pension was subject to the state's $3, 000 exemption. The State disagreed. I was (still am) willing to fight this, but on my initial telephone call with H&R Block, they denied me their promised "audit support" on the basis the State had made a "computational adjustment". (It is my position that a determination as to whether or not a pension is taxable - in whole or in part - is a "substantive determination" and not merely computational) H&R Block offered to pay the penalty and interest (less than $9), but only if I sent them copies of my returns, the notice and other information in electronic format. Since I don't have a scanner sending an electronic copy of a printed notice was a challenge. After the initial submission was made, additional demands for documents (not only a copy of the cancelled check, but an electronic copy of the bank account statement showing it had cleared). This matter is still in process NINE months later. Part of the delay is attributable to the State of Arkansas being shut down for Covid, but the reminder rests with H&R Block sending me multiple requests for documents that could have been requested at the time I filed my claim. It seems to me H&R Block is unwilling to admit their software made an appaent mistake.

I am still waiting - nearly 9 months after filing my return - for H&R Block to conclude processing my claim.

In 2021 I had to pay $45 for state and then in the middle of my return, h&r block charged me $50 to add did not like how h&r block did not tell me in the beginning they would be charging that much for HSA 😡😡 I WILL NOT BE DOING BUSINESS WITH H&R EVER AGAIN 😈
