I had a Netgear router that I returned because the tech support is absolutely horrible. The tech support was an Indian dude that spoke bad English and he had a house fan blowing in the background. The Netgear nighthawk is a blazing fast router to buy if you can deal with tech support.

Does DumaOS do SQM cake? Have it on my current router (WRT32X running OpenWrt) and it's the best way to remove bufferbloat for gaming.

The nighthawk xr1000 is good but I had to buy a modem for it to work I just chose the Netgear CM1000 modem off of amazon. I only had a standard Xfinity router with no modem, that was issued to us when we bought there services.

Why do I need the router if my ISP spits out 100mbs which is what I'm paying for? Ive got the xr1000 but I only get the modem mbs which is what I paid for!. If you can help clear some things up. I'm afraid if I pay for a higher pack and the router only spits out what I paid for!

I just bought the XR1000, but DumaOS isn't loading on my laptop. Has that happened to you? If so how can I fix it. I can't find any firmware updates for this router. I would appreciate any help. Netgear couldn't even help me.

It's a good thing he showed sfv. Game is the worst for bag connections. He knows
