Santander at Liverpool street station tried this crap with me 20 years ago. I went next door to the Police station and reported them for attempted theft. The Police came into the branch with me to ensure I could get my money. I obviously closed my account and never used Santander again.

I have worked in banking and there are TONS of things to slow down transactions, because the longer they hold onto YOUR MONEY, the more MONEY they can make off you.

Watching this I am absolutely steaming furious! This happened to me a few Months ago in HSBC, Workington, Cumbria. I was in tears when my Son called for the Manager. I can't tell you how vulnerable I felt. The Manager sorted it out - they asked me not to put the 'incident' on Facebook! I will never trust a Bank again.
