The same high-frequency whine is heard when you weld using a modified alternator on a car. Lots of the off-road recovery guys use portable welding systems attached to modified alternators to fix off-road vehicles out in the field.

Nice review. Always looking for good buget tools. But I was blessed enough to find a old Lincoln weld and power 225 AC/DC for $600. Everything works great on it, so I think I'll stick with that 😁.

Again, big respect from another welder entrepreneur! I wish you could do a documentary film, or even a series for Netflix that goes deeper in your every day strugles. You know how people who didn't even like animals or rural life, and they still loved to watch Doctor Pol...

This should be another comment, but again, as a European I saw few safety issues that we care too much about in this side of the big salty water. That's actually something I'm jeallous about. Here the system assumes everyone is an idiot, and we regulate safety stuff so much that one can get instantly fired because of three different things I saw you doing.

I've been considering getting a small engine driven welder. I really wouldn't use it a whole lot but there have been several times it would have been handy out at our family lake lot so I'm looking to keep it inexpensive as possible. I'll add this to the list of the ones I've been checking out.

Tractor Supply has a dual fuel 3500 watt welder generat for 500 bucks. This unit does not look to bad for a budget trucker genny with a bit of welder .
