I can say that from what I'm witnessing in Texas, I see fragile aging white male conservatives out to control;

Parental rights.

Voting rights.

Reproductive rights.

I live in rural TN and I get threatened with anti-trans rhetoric being hurtled down the street when I get home and the police treat me with malice and disrespect no matter what, even if I was the one that called them for protection

I'm proud of my Senator for this. My kid in Washington state is protected by our state constitution. Our neighbors in Idaho are going full fascist though. We were considering a trip there this summer, it's completely off the list.

I'm so sorry this is happening to you guys, brothas and sistas! The going's getting tougher by the day and there's an avalanche of extreme prejudice, if not outright hate, directed towards everything (LG)BTQ. The degree of cruelty with which these bills are drafted is so profoundly disgusting, I believe will ultimately be their undoing ! The "extreme" of these bills are just getting too obviously retaliatory and punitive for the whole family, to be argued successfully in front of a panel of Judges, let alone Justices. Isn't it?

I am very interested in how we in other states. (Former TX resident who left the state for politics such as this. This kind of legislation is as bad if not worse that the politics of states like Russia, Iran, and Afhghanist/Talibanland. Do all Texans agree with this type of barbaric legislation who will first effect trans kids, but where shall it stop when you cross the line on abortions, immigrations, and whatever declared Christian Nationalistic “moral obligations”? Maybe doesn’t affect you today, but trust that you are heading rapidly into a new dark age of repressive fear driven ideology who worships a vengeful god who empowers a very few to decide what “freedoms” you shall have based on your obedience. Resistance is futile so prepare to be assimilated! A new borg hive IS forming and it’s far more aggressive and dangerous then you think.
