Even though I am from Pakistan and am quite familiar to the dishes in Pakistan, I don't doubt that Indian food is better than ours because I have tried some Indian dishes and Wow they taste amazing and btw shoutout to our Indian brothers and sisters.
Edit: Mom I am famous 🌟

For the first time i never saw any bad comments or fights between INDIA and PAKISTAN in any of the comments. Being an Indian I wish we have peace like this between both the countries and also the whole nation

The real food competition b/w 🇵🇰 🇮🇳 cities will be like this:
Lahore Vs Delhi
Karachi Vs Mumbai

Islamabad is not known for its street food.

As an Indian I can't deny the fact that the Pakistani foods also taste and looks great. And the spices we Indian and Pakistani use is no joke. ✌️

I'm Filipino and i love the way people from both countries show some love and respect for each other in this comment section despite the conflict in between. this is a breath of fresh air.

Sorry to say but the comparison is not on standard. You choose the wrong city of Pakistan for food. Even we Pakistanis don't like the food taste of Islamabad. For food comparison you should visit Lahore or Karachi.

As a food lover Pakistani myself 🇵🇰, I can confirm that we have not been represented correctly 😂, Islamabad is like a new school version, if you want to taste the authentic Pakistani food it's either Lahore or Karachi ❤️

Nihari was developed in Old Delhi, India, during the reign of the Mughal Empire. Muslim Nawabs (Noblemen) would eat Nihari after their sunrise prayers (Fajr), after which they would take naps until the afternoon Muslim prayers (Zhuhr). It later became a regular breakfast dish for the working class due to its energy-boosting properties.

Nihari used to be slow-cooked overnight in large pots in order to be given to labourers when they participated in the substantial construction projects sanctioned by the empire. Nihari was served free to labourers.

After Pakistan was formed and partitioned from India in 1947, a huge wave of immigrants from Delhi settled in Karachi. As many of these immigrants were already involved in the food industry, restaurants were quickly established in Karachi. But many good Indian muslims stayed back and continued the food industry in Delhi.

When classically prepared, Nihari used to take approximately 6-8 hours just to stew, not to mention preparation time. Thankfully, with the help of modern technology and methods, it is much easier achieve the same result in less time.

Love from Delhi. Jai Hind. 🇮🇳 (PS: There's more to Indian food i.e South Indian, Bengali, North East Indian..etc)

Speaking for myself (an Indian), I long for the day when I can drive freely across the border to Lahore for some of the awesome street food, then come back and have awesome parathas for breakfast in Amritsar the next morning. One can dream, right?
