Is This Hail Damage or Not? Adjusters and Roofers, Comment!

This homeowner's roof was hit with hail last year. This year she filed an insurance claim after 2 roofers told her she had hail damage.

But the insurance adjuster denied the claim, saying that there is no hail damage on the roof except for half of one small gable.

Roofers... Adjusters...

No that's not hail. The roof has faded. That's fading dots. Hail has to be 3/4" or wider. Kidding. Looks like hail damage.

Always difficult to tell from photos and videos. Show me the collateral. Little collateral does not support. Good collateral does. I never call it from pics or videos I have to feel the shingle. How do the soft metals and gutters look?

Odd because they are big spots but usually if I saw hail of that size there would be more damage at same time….

I've never understood paying for just one slope. I've had adjusters pay for one side of a duplex and not the other!
