Thanks but basically you have a live connection and you are scheduling a browser windows refresh, which is same if a user refresh his browser tab and as its a live connection it will hit database and will get the latest data?
Am i missing something?

You can also use direct query and set a bookmark with JavaScript to press the refresh button however many milliseconds you prefer this eliminates the refreshing window that so many and consumers don’t like amd just refreshes visuals. You also dont need an azure model though You are limited with direct query a bit with power query and DAX.

I just tried this tutorial, but won't work for the odbc data/ adobe anlytics, only refresh the datetime which I created at power bi desktop now() but not select CURRENT_TIMESTAMP() from odbc. not sure where my fault. I am looking for ideas how to create realtime report.

Hi, You can find a way to refresh data to POWERBI from database online??? It's only work in DESKTOP, I try to figure a way to refresh data from mysql online... thanks..

If you have a sharepoint connection and not SQL then will it still refresh as it's not doing it for me

I would like to know, i have file uploading into my MS SharePoint every hr, , how Power BI data set can pick every hour. as we know Pro license only allow 8 times a day for auto refreshment. Could you guide something here

Hi, im new to Powre Bi, but am I right in saying this will only work if my source is a live database? If im importing from an XLS or CSV I would still have to manually publish?
