Result: if Russia was ruled by someone like Yeltsin again and did everything Usa wants, this would be considered best antivirus in the world 😃

You almost had me, until the Norton recommendation.

If you're just an ordinary citizen and have nothing to do with politics, there's no reason to worry about using Kaspersky products or other Russian software.

The Kaspersky company does not, and never did have any ties whatsoever to the Russian government. Where you got your information from, I don't know, but you should fact check stuff like that to be sure you aren't spreading false information.

The fact that you no longer feel "okay" using Kaspersky anymore is a little rediculous, but everyone has their own opinion and I respect yours.

As of right now, saying that "you can't guarantee that Kaspersky does not pose a security threat" is over the top. The mainstream AVs that are sold on every retail machine like Norton, McAfee, Avast/Avira, all pose a much greater security threat than Kaspersky ever did and most likely ever will.
Especially in the case that Norton, yes NORTON has been putting crypto miners on users machines without their knowledge until very recently, and that Avast/Avira and McAfee are considered as SCAREWARE by everyone I have talked to in the industry.

I would not ever recommend someone using anything besides Kaspersky, Bitdefender, or Sophos, and even at that I am cautious when saying things about Bitdefender due to the fact that in the past I have seen the company acting in "scummy" manner.

My ruling is that Kaspersky is the BEST AV on the market and rules over the competition in terms of protection, features, performance, and transparency. Again, the Kaspersky does not, and never did have ties with the Russian Govnerment.

Lol okay. You convinced me to renew Kaspersky. Norton is a disaster waiting to happen on any machine it is allowed to access and BitDefender is more sketchy than Kaspersky is. I used to think NOD32 was as good or better at zero day. Recent tests have said otherwise.
Thank you.

Yes, Kaspersky Antivirus is still a safe option to use for protecting against potential problems at all stages. It offers a good antivirus scanner, anti-phishing protection, parental controls, VPN, and multi-layered detection methods to block harmful websites. While it may not offer additional app screening for apps downloaded from the Play Store, it provides protection against a wide range of threat types and is known for its malware removal and ransomware protection features.

I would worry about the ATF and NSA more than Kaspersky. I just renew mine.

I will never use Norton again after the auto renewal issues and i have been using Kaspersky now for a year or so with no issue. People need to stop generalizing that every Russian person or business agrees with the war in Ukraine.

If some government warns you to use something, it's a just good reason to use it!

If I was a Russian connected to Putin, I would use all platforms to get as much information as possible.

I have a problem with Kaspersky AV, I developed a web server, it wont run under KAV! because it is not digitally signed, digitally signing my applicatiin costs me around $200 .. I tried adding exception, but KAV exceptions are fake .. it keeps blocking my app though 😢

I switched from Kaspersky to Bitdefender on the extremely small chance of a war with Russia.

I was just going to order it and oh damn, never really knew it was Russian-owned!

ditch the propaganda: Founded in 2004, Kaspersky North America is a Massachusetts corporation and is a wholly-owned subsidiary of its holding company, Kaspersky Labs Limited, based in the United Kingdom.

We are one of the world’s largest privately owned cybersecurity companies [i]. We operate in 200 countries and territories and have 35 offices in 31 countries. Over 4, 000 highly-qualified specialists work for Kaspersky.

Will probably buy Kaspersky, partly to help make peace and stop demonizing all things Russian.

I will tell you a great secret . No antivirus can protect you, as long as your device is online there is a way remotly acces it without your permission .

Reads like carefully structured hit piece, especially in use of stock footage cutaways and subtitles

For example, I see no guarantees that the US government is not weaponising US companies in the way you hint at with Kaspersky but lots of evidence that they are. So is this really a "con"?

And are you?

Jayz two cents tells you to avoid Norton and Mcafee at all cost because they add their own Malware. So you gotta wonder why this Youtuber recommends it other Youtubers say the same thing bout Norton and Mcafee they get put on prebuilt because they are paid to and those that do also get Windows 11 highly discounted.
