I was born in the TN mountains have countelss friends from Asheville and the surrounding area. Towns like Swannanoa, Black Mountain, and Chimney Rock are effectively wiped off of the map.

I’ve lived in western North Carolina my whole life. 46 years in the same small town. The damage and destruction I have seen is unbelievable. To also see our communities pull together to get stuff done is incredible. I have been very fortunate to come through unscathed but please don’t forget this tragedy.
