I like to have options. Some movies I want to watch are not on Netflix, but are available physically on a dvd or blue ray.

Yep I still like blu-ray . Especially because you can buy "pulp fiction " for 5 dollars! Netflix is convenient but they don't have everything I want all the time. They will put movies up, then they take them down because of some rights issues or something, that's not cool. I do like owning the disc . I didn't buy blu-ray for a while, but I am back to buying them. Man they have gotten so cheap!

I agree with you on that point. I like to have options: I don’t hate Netflix or streaming, I love it, but there are a few draw backs. As a vinyl enthusiast, naturally I’m a bit of a completionist when it comes to collections. As such, when buying DVDs and such, I’m always buying limited edition versions or box sets or anniversary editions etc. Unfortunately streaming services can’t and don’t offer the exclusive content one may find in a limited edition version of a film. That’s why it’s great to have the option of an optical medium

Definitely like physical media. I love Netflix and Hulu, but being able to play blu-rays gives me a vastly larger amount of options for movies I am able to watch (not to mention directors' commentary and special features). Phasing out drives is just yet another remarkably stupid decision the Mac people have made since Steve Jobbs died.

Thanks for the suggestion. I had been using AnyMP4 blu-ray player, but it had trouble playing discs with multiple episodes of a TV series. It would only play one episode on the disc. Macgo Pro lets you see and play all episodes.

i love bluray disk. always better than streaming, i love streaming too. but i prefer watch a good movie on bluray, more quality, less compresion better audio (DTS HD Master Audio, 7.1 channeles or more, etc) good video thanks
