What to look for in a budget Blu-ray player

Forget 4k for now. Buying a HD Blu-ray player still makes a lot of sense.

Why would you think of needing an HDMI port from the player directly to the soundbar when you're already plugged into the TV?

You can actually borrow DVD movies and CD audio in local libraries, for free. So it makes sense to own DVD or Blu-ray players. It's very on the budget and you only pay once, for many years

In other words 1080p is good enough till u can jump to 4k.

All the blu ray players are pretty much the same now in term of quality and streaming apps. Most of them are also pretty dirt cheap now (for me) that I have 3 (Samsung, Sony, LG) connected to my TV in living room.

my favorite movies on blu-ray is old Marvel movies from 2000s-2019 Dc movies Micheal Bay Transformer movies and as for cds music emo and pop punk musics

Netflix is great for binge watching series and a casual evening with friends watching a Hollywood blockbuster movie.
But if you are seriously into movies -older movies, arthouse movies, non-american movies or just even one specific genre- you will not find it on Netflix. It's all about tracking down ebay and second hand markets to get that DVD oor Blu-Ray disc. So no, great affordable players like these are not becoming obsolete, they are just getting into a more niche role. A bit like the big HiFi component stereo with its big speakers did before.
