That was a _lot_ easier than I thought it would be. Just upload to flash.

Friend, I have a router like this and I want to install it. Could you tell me if it is unstable? Is the wifi OK? Is it possible to install packages within Linux such as wireshark and log management?

C6 V3 and A6 V3 are very similar down to the hardware, the last time I tried (year 2022) my A6 V3 with OpenWRT, the 5 GHz WiFi drops out frequently and I switched back to the stock firmware because of it. Can you tell me your experiences with your C6 especially with the 5 GHz signal? I might try OpenWRT again.

careful, the new Archer C6 v4 will never be supported!
The case looks the same as v3.
I would recommend choosing a cheap wifi6 router anyway.

I wished TP-Link made decent devices instead of those low flash low RAM devices that they throw into different plastic cases again and again. TP-Link is the last brand you should consider for openwrt if you are planning to install any additional packages like VPN, adblocker etc

if you're gonna use it as AP only, then why even install openwrt? What's disadvantage of stock?

why did you install openwrt in the first place if you wanted to use this in dumb mode anyway?

USB-C for what? That is ridiculous. And of course it’s plasticky. What do you mean this is expected for the price? What? Lol of course plasticky it’s made of plastic. and if you only wanted it to be an access point let me tell you wasted your money and you’re recommending something very expensive for what it is and what it does. As an access point I mean. You’ll be more than served with a Xiaomi mi router 4A gigabyte for half the price as an access point only.
