The other thing that was so eloquently left out too; Garen's silence is 1.5 seconds. Fiddles is 1.25. Kassadin's in the day was *three* whole seconds, and LB was 1.5 seconds... that she could cast twice.

The people who ask questions like this probably didn't play against those versions or don't remember what it was like playing against them back in the day. Both Kassadin and LB were incredibly frustrating in lane with their silences, it made it very hard to trade back with them along with their mobility

I mained leblanc for many years, she didnt just have a silence, due to the way her ult works she could legitimately silence you for like 3-6 seconds. You just couldn't react to her at all and despite the fact that i miss it it was for the best that it was removed.

Its not like he typically builds 800 movement speed, just does the beyblade into you and then jumps at you with an objectively broken kit in General. I think an important thing to gleam from this is theoretical dps. Yeah garen has a silence but he doesnt have the dps to kill someone in a single second.

Leblanc, kass and talon can kill in an instant and this guaranteed it, where malz, fiddle and garen need to spend more time getting the same total damage off.

The logic makes sense. If you don't see fiddle ult you then the silence is justified. Shame we didn't hear about Garen's reason since him routinely building shit like PD / swiftness giving him close to 700 MS with Q up makes him basically unavoidable for many champs. I guess they also deserve to be silenced since they dared go within a screen of him lmao
