PS it's really effortless to enhance your partner's day and two simple things that I did each day was to place a love note in his uniform pocket and place a glass of iced tea on the windowsill so that he can see it when he came home to know that I was waiting for him. I did that for more than 20 years.

After my last relationship, I've actually self reflected on how I can be less available. I've never played games, I've always been open and honest and chosen the relationship daily without being overwhelming to my partner.
But it always ends the same. Lack of appreciation, taking me for granted, and withdrawing. It's like men want a woman who doesn't play games yet theu get bored if you dont!
I actually started thinking of how I can play games to keep someone invested, as it seems every guy runs on some kind of trauma program, but this is not who I am.
Thanks for this. It puts things back into perspective. I love being with myself, so it's not hard to not settle...just frustrating with this age group of guys.
