BIBLE STUDY WITH ME | Titus 2

Today we are continuing our Bible study series through the book of Titus with Titus chapter 2! While the subheading for Titus 2 says "Teach Sound Doctrine," in this chapter Paul is actually unpacking what it looks like to LIVE as followers of Jesus - but the reason it is titled that way is because there is a direct connection between what we believe and how we live. Simply put, sound teaching informs a godly way of life. In this video we are going to be unpacking the instructions Paul gives specifically to older men, older women, younger men, and younger women on how to live. We will also talk about WHY we are called to live this way and how it ultimately points back to the Gospel. 💛

15:00 I believe the idea here is that older, married women have experience and can teach and guide the newlywed women on how to submit to and love their husbands, how to keep their home, how to love and train their children.
It wouldn't make sense to have a mentor who did not have experience in the field you are called to. So, while the men can help, it is definitely our jobs as seasoned wives and/or mothers to be the main support and guide for the younger married ladies.❤

I noticed how in 2:11 “For the grace of God has appeared that offers salvation to all people.”
‭‭Titus‬ ‭2:11‬ ‭NIV‬‬
is actually talking about Jesus since Jesus was the one that appeared and offered salvation.
