Sirens are not mermaids. They are actually bird women who lured sailors to death. Mermaids were actually part fish. Children of Posiden in Greek myths. 😄

In greek mythology, sirens and mermaids are two completely different creatures. Sirens are more normally described as bird-like, angelic women. They often get confused with, and swapped out for in more recent tales with mermaids because both creatures are said to lure sailors, usually with songs.

Sirens were not mermaids wrong story and their voice was what enchanted men I would think they were of the aviary persuasion but predatory in nature as in the sailors were food
