Akash's eyes burned, not from the screen's glare, but from the unshed tears blurring his vision. Another mock test, another brutal drubbing. The coveted 300, a mythical beast in his personal Everest, mocked him from the screen. Sleep felt like a luxury he couldn't afford, every night a battlefield against Algebra demons and Physics phantoms.

His world had shrunk to the four walls of his study room, the stale air thick with ambition and desperation. Friends became faces flickering on his phone, family voices on loudspeaker whispers. The sun was a stranger, the outside world a forgotten melody.

Each wrong answer echoed like a gunshot in his brain, each ranking on the leaderboards a branding iron searing his self-worth. Comparisons were poisonous weeds, sprouting from whispers and social media feeds, choking his confidence. Doubt, a venomous serpent, coiled around his heart, hissing questions his logic couldn't answer.

The pressure, heavy as textbooks, threatened to crush him. Panic attacks became uninvited guests, leaving him gasping for air and questioning his sanity. The IIT dream, once a gleaming beacon, now flickered like a dying candle in the storm of his mental maelstrom.

One night, Akash looked at his reflection in the dusty mirror - sunken eyes, hollow cheeks, the ghost of a once vibrant smile. Was this the price of ambition? Was the coveted seat worth the sacrifice of his soul?

For the first time, doubt gnawed at the foundation of his dreams. Maybe the mountain he was climbing wasn't Everest, but a crumbling cliff of societal expectations. Perhaps the summit wasn't a golden throne, but a cage of gilded bars.

With a shaky hand, Akash shut down the screen. The silence, deafening at first, gradually became a soothing balm. He stepped out of his study-cage, the moonlit world a strange new land. He took a deep breath, filling his lungs with fresh air, not the stale scent of equations.

That night, Akash didn't dream of conquering problems. He dreamt of soaring through open skies, the shackles of the JEE grind a distant memory. He woke up with a flicker of hope, a hesitant smile gracing his lips.

The path ahead was uncertain, but for the first time, Akash wasn't climbing blind. He had seen the dark side of the mountain, and while its shadows lingered, they no longer eclipsed the sunrise within him. The IIT dream might remain, but it wasn't his only sun anymore. He had found a new star, a flicker of self-compassion, and that, he realized, was a light worth following.

Edit : Thank you all for your valuable time.

You guys are doing a really good job portraying the current situation. I am blessed that circumstances were different during my 11th-12th and JEE phase(most of my 11th was online and in 12th I only studied 6 months securing decent marks in boards). I am in a tier 3 college right now and a few of my friends are in tier 1 and tier 2 colleges. No matter whatever college you go to there is another rat race going on for DSA(You might need to make a video on that as well guys).

I always loved interacting and understanding the engineering and science involved in different aspects of things we use. I might not be good at solving MCQ but I know I am pretty good at understanding the science. The only thing I hope for in the future is to create a curious and researching mindset in the youth of our society. It might take time to change the system, but it's never too late to create something better.

As a NEET aspirant, I feel myself really fortunate that this is not my reality. Most of my teachers teach passionately and I don't feel as depressed. But, I do accept there are many fellow aspirants who do feel this way, to them, all my condolences, I hope you get to a better place and get to follow passion. It must be really hard to grind this much when you are not interested in the particular line of work.

We only got 1 life guys.
God didn't send us here to crack exams and follow the system.
We're here for a reason.
But we have to repay our parents what they have done for us.
Let's unleash the beast within us.
Devour the coaching institutes.
And follow your dreams.
Make your parents proud.
And win in your dreams.
(And i don't mean AIR 1 wale dreams..true genuine dreams that are unique...)

Education ka goal Fincinal security nhi hai education ka goal Fincinal freedom hain.. Aur jinhone bhi ye entrance crack kiya wo bhi Fincinal freedom achieve nhi kar sakte kyu uss education ne unki skill to build kihi nahi. To wo jindagi bhar kisi na kisi company yaa government pe depend rahenge.. Matalb iss education system me through agar kuch achieve bhi kar liya.. To bhi apko apki jindagi katani.. Hi hongi jee nahi paonge

Its quite hilarious to see how people grind their asses off and spend a shit load of money just to make 6 figures at google only to realise that tons of their collegues got the same job with just half the effort 😂😂

JEE is not the only way to achieve what u need. But unfortunately the indian crowd just blindly follows and runs towards JEE and other exams

Hopefully I come back 10 yes later to this very comment abd reply down that I was right .

Coaching Teachers are not training us to crack exams, it's a load of bull that people throw all around the internet. The 11th and 12th journey is amazing if you have the right Teachers, right guidance, right mindset, and discipline. They teach us the subject for all the two years and when the exam is near, say 2 months, it is only when they prepare us for the exams. We give lots of mock tests and solve a lot of pyqs to get faster at solving.
During the mid part we mostly solve coaching materials and other books, focus on building concept rather than speed
