Vanguard S&P 500 ETF (VUSA) | Investing For Beginners | The Best Long-Term Investment

It's now well over a year since we looked at my favourite ETF - Vanguard's S&P 500 ETF. A lot has changed, with it now including Tesla and having grown substantially.

This is a quick review of the product for any new investors out there who are interested in adding this ETF to their portfolio!

Nice video. Would love an update. Also if you do a lump sum and then a low direct debit, it remains as cash which you can invest manually, or does it auto invest when it reaches a unit price?

I am looking to invest using my Vanguard platform - I am UK based and the available fund is the S&P 500 UCITS ETF - is this the correct one to invest in? I saw a comment below about it depending where you are but I am confused as I have put in my location as I am just starting up my account and seems to be the only available one. same, VUSA big chunk of my Vantguard. growth this quarter much slower than rest of the year, let's hope for better times.

If you look further back in the S&P 500 investments double in value roughly every 4 years. So it’s a impressive investment.
Tesla will probably get booted out at some stage, SpaceX is on shaky ground and if it goes bust or gets a bail out I think Tesla stocks will come under close scrutiny. Musk has pushed a lot of vapourware the Tesla truck hasn’t materialised, hyper loop more of the same, the massive valuation doesn’t reflect sales which would require taking all of Toyota, Ford, GM, VW and BMW’s market share to justify the current valuation even something like matching Toyota for sales would require a 90% drop in share price no wonder hedge funds have been shorting Tesla stocks.

Which platform do you use to trade ETF's and do you have restrictions? I'm trying to trade S&P 500 ETF and use IG. However, IG have recently restricted trading the ETF due to new regulation....happy if you could share your wisdom.
