IMO, BOA does not work well for MTBing. The system isn’t meant to take in abrasive materials like dirt on a regular basis and will fail with regular use. This is why they have a no questions asked parts warranty. You are expected to replace the closure system like it’s a regular gear maintenance task. So you have to ask yourself would you rather be working on your shoes or riding? Why should you listen to some random guy on the internet? Well, I worked there for four years.😉
