Way to go Marissa, so proud, those precise moves you’ll get it. Keep doing it.

Congrats to both of you! If I'd tried driving when my husband was alive, someone would have been facing murder charges. Now I'm full-time solo at 67 towing a bumper pull. You can do it!

Way to go Marisa! My name is Joy and I'm a 68 year old woman and my husband and I went full timing 2 years ago. I learned to drive a 40 ft class A pulling a 4 door jeep. Practice = confidence is what worked for me. The more I drove, the more confident I became. It can be done!

Got to say that clip of both your moms walking with JJ is pure gold. Makes me smile every time. Glad you are home safe!

Way to go Marisa! My husband doesn't drive our 5th wheel. I grew up driving horse trailers so driving the 5th wheel is pretty natural for me. Just don't be in a hurry. I love the backup camera for passing vehicles, not sure what I would do without it.

It's a learning curve with loads of surprises, I did 30 years as a long haul trucker and feel I can still learn things. The trick is to drive in your comfort zone and then try to push beyond it. Personal recommendation, 60's a good safe speed trailering, beyond 70 is iffy and chews fuel.

We have a Forest River Stealth toy hauler. My husband has let me drive our Ram 2500 while towing it once. In Nebraska, while we drove across country to our next duty station. Flat lands, no curves, nothing but two lane highways. It was sunny and easy breezy. You go girl! So proud of you!!!

Omg MARISSA!! So proud of you! We just got our TT the end of last season so we only went out a hand full of times. I never drove it. I will this season! Now I’m excited!! ❤️

Nice job. I firmly believe that both of us need to be able to drive. Whenever I drive and my hubby sleeps, I can guarantee we will have bad weather and road construction. I’ve managed through it, some without waking him up. Best lesson you will ever learn if you are going to live in your RV. Let me make it clear, I am not good at backing up. Lesson in progress, always!!

I’m proud of you. I’m still trying to work up to learning to back. It’s on my list before we go full time. It helped me tow by driving my 450 as a daily driver years ago. I then towed our 42 ft 5th wheel on a trip we had taken several times close to home. Knowing the road helped me with my confidence. Proud that no fuss took place with driving or parking bc control is hard to hand over so way to go Nathan.

I'm proud of you Marissa for wanting to drive pulling your 5th wheel and actually doing it! Bravo young lady!!!
As a truck driver, I know there feeling. It's taught and drilled into our head that it's Very Important to slow down with inclement weather and NEVER use cruise control when there's inclement weather.
Great job!!

You did wonderful! I'm the driver for us. Our first tow day was a 10 hour drive from Florida (where we bought our TT) to Georgia (home). And it rained the whole day.

Malissa I have not posted for a while but want you to know I just turned 90 yes 90 years old and I have been a full time RVer for many years. I had a 37' Class A for a long time but now have a 28' 2016 Monaco TREK Class A Motorhome and I still drive it, and do all the chores of full time living in it. Every day is a gift but driving it is a pleasure and I love it when I pull out and start a new run down the road to see what is around the bend.
Think of it as just another skill that you can learn and be confident. Plenty of women drive all kinds of big rigs and do just fine. You will be fine too. I have followed your channel for years now. and still enjoy it.

Thank you for the JJ translations. My Dad was a big fan of storms so when it was really bad out, he was so excited for us to watch it. Didn't matter how dangerous, we went out to watch it or tapped up windows and watched it if the wind would take you off your feet. As a result, I've never really had a fear of storms or earthquakes (that I learned on my own, my Dad actually didn't care much for quakes) because they were all the same thing to me. Same thing with flying, turbulence was always a game because we all flew regularly (I've got 3 older brothers) from just about birth on. He just pointed out missle hazards, wind direction and keeping aware of your surroundings. That awareness training has kept me safe for the past 60 something years.
