I believe it was triggered by the fact that investors are now realizing that these companies under Chinese law can't comply with PCAOB rules and are going to be delisted from US exchanges. Investors are dumping them ahead of the delisting.

From international politics, ip thefts and even their own government...too much much opaqueness ....

In the eyes of business both Russia and China are the same…Russian behaviour spooked investors in China.

China might behave the same way if they find themselves in similar situation.

Western accounting/auditor firms have resigned in masse. This was inevitable due to the systemic lack of financial honesty/transparency that Western investors foolishly took for granted. Sorry boys and girls, this is a different culture and worldview.
