The first time I had to breastfeed in public I was on a bus. I used to have to take my baby to the hospital twice a week for some physical therapy, so I had to be on time.

I was sitting in a seat that had another seat facing it and two old ladies came and sat in the seat opposite me. When they noticed my baby they gushed and chatted to me and never even mentioned that I was actually feeding her. They did not care at all. They were just so lovely and also a hilarious pair of old ladies.

It gave me a lot of encouragement to not worry about what anyone might say.

That was 27 years ago and I still remember those two awesome old ladies.

I find it very upsetting when people don’t say anything when women showing cleavage but get all upset when a mother is feeding life weird. You get told you look sexy when you’re cleavage is out. But you’re disgusting when you’re feeding a child 🤦🏽‍♀️

You come to Ghana and people breastfeed in public transport, do it in public when the need arises and no one will complain because they know its a natural thing to do when someone has a baby.
