Palestinians were blocked from prayers at Al Aqsa Mosque for Friday prayers

Israeli forces in Occupied East Jerusalem have used tear-gas and water cannon against Palestinians trying to get into the Al Aqsa Mosque for Friday prayers. It also used force against journalists. Israeli restrictions have seen a dramatic reduction in worshipper numbers recently, from around 60,000 a week to only 4,000.

Al Jazeera's Sara Khairat reports from Occupied East Jerusalem.
