In Darkness there may be strength, victory, and life. In Light there may be death, failure, and weakness. But whatever evil specter that said those words missed the key factor of Light.
Light has hope. Light has the opportunity to rise from our falls and balance negative with positive. Light does not just have hope. Light IS hope, because it is the ONLY thing that can successfully push back Darkness.

Ah, Light and Dark. Nowadays, we Guardians tread the line, unable to make a choice, unable to take a stand for anything more than survival.
Back in the days before Beyond Light, before we sacrificed our souls to the twilight, in the dreary yet hopeful time of Legacy, The Dark Below, House of Wolves, The Taken King, Rise of Iron, Red War, Curse of Osiris, Warmind, and Forsaken, we Guardians knew how to make a choice, and stick to it. We knew how to stand for a side, either Light or Dark(in lore), and defend our choice with fierce, swift action. I miss those days.
