The original plan was to have Saul show up and clean up Jane's body, but Bob Odenkirk was busy filming "How I Met Your Mother." The writers then realized that Saul would never do the dirty work of cleaning up a corpse so they created a Winston Wolf style "fixer" in the character of Mike.

The fact that she didn't win an Emmy, especially for "Bad Choice Road", is absolute insanity. That was peak acting.

Thats crazy that BCS season 1 was supposed to transform Jimmy into Saul right away but Michael's performance changed the whole thing

She should’ve won an Emmy, Golden Globes, and SAG

It's amazing how the writers adapted the shows according to the actors' work. Kim, Howard, Saul, Jesse... all of them had a completely different arc planned. Thankfully, because we got two masterpiece series!

Her performance as Kim Wexler was definitely one of the best I have ever seen...She was so funny and classy and complex and exciting ..as Kim she was definitely the heart ❤️ of the show and the love story between her and Jimmy really tore me up

Sorta like how Jesse was supposed to be killed off in season 1 but the chemistry between him and Walt was so great it became the focus of the show.

Stunning. She's simply stunning. Deserved an Emmy a time ago

Believe it or not, they mentioned that fact about Mike's character in AMC's Talking Bad. I was fascinated by that fact too, a simple scheduling conflict helped create one of the best TV characters in the past 20 years of television.

Kim Wexler is the greatest depiction ever of a strong female character

Such an amazing performer and human. How she won no Emmy is unreal. I adore her entire acting style and everything she brought to that show

I think when Rhea said "Jessica's character dying" (2:56) that was her confusing Krysten Ritter with Jessica Jones although she tried to explain it as "Jesse's girlfriend"....

one of the most criminally under-recognized performances and characters in TV history

Mike Ehrmantraut is my favorite supporting character in both Breaking Bad and Better Caul Saul. He’s a bad guy, but I found myself sympathizing and identifying with that character while watching both shows.

Jesus, Rhea is such an amazing part of this show and universe. Mike is probably one of my top characters of all time and to think he almost didnt exist is unthinkable knowing the show how we know it now. And I think Rhea is right, thank god they didnt take Jimmy/Saul in that direction because his conscience in BCS made Jimmy such a deeper character than the shyster Saul we know and love from BB. Rhea is such an amazing addition to this great franchise and Im so glad they made her Jimmys heart and weakness so Chuck could be his adversary.
