Calculation of displacement value in easy way

Показать описание
Displacement value of a drug in suppository is an important parameter that is to be fixed to prepare suppositories for proper mixing of drug with required amount of suppository base.

Due to differences in the relative densities of drug and suppository base, some part of the base is displaced by entire drug in the suppositories. So displacement value is defined as the amount the drug required to displace 1 gm of the suppository base.

In this video, how easy to calculate the displacement value of the drug by using a simple formula was discussed.

Zabar dus sir! I am a British student and even you teach better than my lecturers, who are british pharmacists. They didn't even bother to help me when I asked how to calculate D.V for supps., but this video was so good that they would NOT do a better job!

Is the following correct?
Practical Weight (15.5g) = weight of the drug (6.2g) + weight of the base (Original 12g - 2.7g displaced = 9.3 g).

Thank you so much for this. Is it possible for you to make a video on electrochemistry (pharm analysis)?

Can you 🙏pls tell me how we get this ans
When six suppositories containing 20 percent of morphine hydrochloride in Theobroma oil are to be prepared, which of the following statement is correct ? (Given : Displacement value of morphine hydrochloride is 1.5; weight of each suppository is

1g)

Options 1.
The displacement value of morphine hydrochloride is to be considered

2. The displacement values of both morphine hydrochloride and Theobroma oil are to be considered
