The world's population tripled in 75 years. We desperately need the human population to shrink. Our Earth is not coping with human consumption and waste.

There are literally dozens of videos called "Why is nobody talking about population decline?" Or collapse etc. Ridiculous. It's not"nobody". Not even close. And besides, we are not in population decline overall and won't be for probably 50 years. It's western urban population mostly that's not having many kids, while places like India are struggling with too many people anyway. They wouldn't mind slowing their population growth.

Population growth is only expected to stop/stabilize by 2100

not some eminent doom that world population suddenly soon will all start drastically falling

Its literally stabilizing. We had a massive surge, quality if life is dropping so the population dose too. Oh no we will have 6 or 7 billion people instead if 10. Big deal. This is completely normal after a spike.
