Episode 1 - Pillowcase
This video highlights the simple project of making a pillowcase, with me showing you step by step how to cut it out and construct it. Simple techniques that don't cause frustration.

All you need is a sewing machine you can operate, a pair of fabric scissors, sewing pins, a seam ripper, and an iron. A cutting mat, rulers and rotary cutters are an added bonus. We will address fabric, thread and needles in each video.

Patterns are child friendly, but children always should be supervised when sewing.

I am a single mom in W. Texas with a 30 yr old daughter who has had a passion for sewing since I was 10 years old. I also have numerous nieces and nephews and have sewn for them since they were born and that is where my brand of Aunt Debbie's Boutique comes from. I have spent most of my adult life teaching sewing classes to kids and adults. This channel is dedicated to passing these patterns and skills to a larger audience in a much more user friendly format. You can watch these videos at your convenience rather than have to choose between going to your sewing class or your kid's soccer game.

Let's get to sewing!

Another great video, Debbie! Any chance you could put a link to that comic book board? What an excellent idea!!! Also, any thoughts on best sources of really inexpensive fabric for beginners like me?
