I’ve always noticed Peterson’s style. He’s got the clothing on point all the time and yet I felt like no one points it out. I’m so glad someone finally acknowledges it, and it’s Antonio no less

After two years of working from home we finally came back into the office. Everyone came into the office dressed wearing hoodies & sneakers, I started wearing “business casual” and a suit for important meetings it gave me a sense of pride.

I work as a barber and have been doing so for 45 years. I wear a suit and tie to work I also require the barbers who work in my shops to do the same. We take our jackets off while working. It just gives off a better appearance..

Even as a long haul trucker and company owner, I dress both for the task and to project respect. I set an example for my drivers, my jeans are clean and pressed, my shirts are tucked in and buttoned, my boots are shined and laced. We are in flatbed trucking and I can't emphasize how often we get compliments from customers regarding our appearance.
I have stepped out of the truck and been told, "as soon as we saw you on the jobsite, we knew you were a professional". Our equipment and our appearance makes a statement, and compared to what passes for a truck driver these days, guys wearing pajama pants and flip flops, we set ourselves apart.

I started wearing suits almost everyday about three years ago. I was in a turning point in my life, I started living wear I work and working wear I lived. The lines started getting blurred massively as to what was work and and what was living. I also went into a PTSD reactionary mode in my life; I found that dressing in a suit everyday helped me to feel safe. I have spent most of my life wearing uniforms, either military or for work. Dressing up gives me a mindset of, "being on mission". I also have had a serious affinity for shoes my entire life (yes, I was the guy in garrison with 20 pairs of boots), so most days, I get dressed from the ground up; the day is defined by what shoes I want to wear that day. Then, of course, I match the suit to the shoes. I was afraid, in Austin, Texas, a very casual city, to start wearing suits. I have to admit, I have gotten a couple of pointed fingers and snickers from people, mostly women, when it is 100 degrees outside and I am in a three piece suit. But, by and large, no one gives a F***. The compliments outweigh the negatives. So, bottom line, do what you feel you have to do for you. Screw everyone else. By the way, it does not have to be expensive. I buy most of my suits at Goodwill and have them altered to my taste. Most of my suits, I have less than $300 in them total. The shoes cost more.

I used to run 12 suits, 30+ dress shirts, and 40 ties. Picking what to wear the next day took about 45 seconds before bed. It’s really not that complicated or difficult. Shoes have always been the problem. Find some that look good and are comfortable, buy a few pairs, and wear them.

I was taught by my mother that "When a man wears a tie, he respects himself first, then his audience".

I dressed like crap. Over weight. When I listened to J.P., I started changing how I dressed. Lost weight. My business has grown. I am proud of myself and my daughter is proud of me. Screw everyone else. Results matter.

Just recently brought my neighbor in for an outpatient procedure and when he was wheeled out the nurse made the comment, 'Wow, it's so nice to see a man who knows how to dress'. Only had on a pair of dress jeans, an Oxford shirt with a sport jacket and a pair of double monks. Didn't really feel I had put too much effort, but she noticed.

I am forty-six years old. When I was fourteen, kids in school thought that I was an Englishman because of the way that I dressed. I went on vacation to San Antonio and was walking along the "River Walk" dressed in a fine suit (also at fourteen years old) and a cute gondolier saluted me by asking: "Excuse me sir! Do you have any Grey Poupon?" 🤣 I was very amused and our family laughed about it, in that pre-selfie epoch. My point is, I have always made it a point of dressing just a tad-bit above the...expected. That way, you always come out on top.

I work at a reemployment office and one time this gentleman came in the man came in was dressed up in a 3 piece suit. I thought he was corporate or a regional manager, come to find out he was just job searching. For me it's about first impressions and having self pride in what you wear.

I made the decision to improve my wardrobe…engaged a tailor and began the process. A year later, my business has improved, my personal image is higher and I now look at how people dress differently than in the past. And yes, it took almost a day to sort through and rearrange my closet. Thank you Manuel Martinez for all of your help

Haven't been on this channel in a while and I have to say: Antonio, you've still got it. The content is always useful, the presentation is on point and the comments are full of pertinent feedback from this community you've built over the years. Good work and thank you for putting this content out there!

it’s crazy man, i caught myself being the only one of my friends that dresses nice. whether it be some Aldo’s on my feet, button ups, wearing my jewelry and watch. i’ve actually influenced my brother who’s 9 looking up to me and saying how it’s so cool that i dress so nice and smell good. i remember a few years ago when i was going through my emo phase (i was 16😂) and thought “wtf i look bad like this” and now i dress so much better and am really happy with how i look

That is true, people judge a book by its cover. Whether it is a good or bad thing to do, it does not matter because people still do it

Several years ago, my ex-girlfriend's daughter mocked me one day and made a comment about my outfit "looking like a little boy" and those words really hurts like a big slap to the face but it was necessary for me to change, "grow up", and dress like a real man. Since then I made a conscious decision to level up my dressing style and completely revamped my entire wardrobe. I invested in high quality and interchangeable pieces of clothing in colors that suits my body type, skin complexion, and personal style. Now I always feel great every time I dressed nicely and appropriately. Your excellent content articles, guides, and videos were the primary resources I utilized to learn and educate myself on fashion, grooming, and so much more. So a huge THANK YOU to you, Antonio for helping and inspiring men like me to be real men, have real style, feel more confident, and be successful in life. Cheers!
