Shelly, you didn't once mention I.F., "intermittent fasting".
That was the main thing I heard about in Keto. I did all those things about whatever I wanted to eat in a 4 to 6 hour window and when I got HUNGRY, I drank water or green tea and sometimes I would try to put off eating for a full day. I knew that when I was hungry my body was eating all that fat off of my body all that cheese and condiments (and I have to start eating clean fats meat, butter cheese whole foods, this was all last year) just before Thanksgiving.
This 78 year old woman with diabetes and had her uterus removed because it was cancer went from 228 lbs to 161 lbs in four months. My A1C was 6.7 and now 5.7 all of this without exercising during the winter and scared of COVID. so getting ready to start this month in silver slipper. I tried it before but I was so out of breath and now I can do it in the pool.
Please remind everyone of the I.F. it is THE most important thing in doing KETO😊😊

My boyfriend and I have been doing Keto for almost 6 months now. He has lost around 90 just on Keto, and 150 in total. I lost about 5 pounds the first week, and about 3 or 4 pounds over the remaining time doing Keto, so about 5 1/2 months. I have never been so completely frustrated with dieting as I am now. My boyfriend and I met on Xbox, and we dated online for 2 years before he finally flew down to California from Canada to live with me. We both started keto at the same time, and he looks amazing now, and I am still stuck almost right where I was after the first initial week of water weight that I lost. Never been so frustrated with dieting in my life...

Condiments, cheese, and artificial sweeteners got I cut out the ketchup, backed off on the monk fruit, and now use cheese sparingly. I have cut breads, carbs, and sugars out a year ago....I love the fact that I don't get hangry, or have cravings any more.

This was a great video I just started keto and lost 10 pounds but i got stuck and you really helped me see that I am consuming too much dairy. I got caught up in all the hype of cheese and dairy. Now I will adjust and replace the cheese and dart with a 1/2 to 1 avocado. Thank you I just subscribed and you are funny too.

Thanks for the information. I have been doing Keto for 6 months and have lost 30 pounds, but I have hit a plateau for the last 2 weeks, up and down 3 pounds but no loss. I need to cut back on the meat and cheese and cut out the Keto snacks. Plus drink more water. I will see how it goes but I will never give up. At 65 it is the only way I have been able to lose weight.

Keep up the great info, bougie! :) I go with keeping it simple, really read labels and rarely weigh myself (scale avoidance). I need to work on limiting the keto "desserts" (like packaged cookies, etc). IMHO, portion control is always important, no matter how one eats. Learn as you go.

I’m surprised that people snack during the day. I have 2 meals—one at noon and the next at 6pm. I am so full after cutting out carbs that I often can’t finish my plate. I’m loading up on greens with a palm sized protein and either 1/2 avocado or piece of cheese on the side. Sometimes I’ll have 5 macadamia nuts too.

Thanks so much for your get real overview and for addressing those stupid ads to lose 100 lbs in 60 days! I’ve been taking total magnesium lately and it’s helping my stress and getting some better sleep. Also taking ashwaghanda for stress when needed too. For now I’m on the egg fast to get back on track and it’s helping me in a lot of ways and simplifying my dietary patterns.

I love this! I’m sure I’m eating too much fat and cheese and crazy thing is I never used to eat a lot of cheese even before I started doing keto.

Thank you so much for this video. My biggest fails are believing that I don't have to watch calories while on keto and unrealistic weight loss promises that are found all over the internet.

I have combined keto with vegan. One of the things I have done is use CHAO cheese 6g of carbohydrate and 0g of sugar (1oz serving size). But with corn starch being #3 and potato starch is #4 for the ingredients. I may have to rethink this.

I’m struggling with weight loss which was never an issue before……bloody peri menopause 😞 I’ve been on Keto and do ADF 36-42 hr fasts and lost 20lb over 2 months. Massive sacrifices made but having had a virus this week and not eating much I’ve put 2lb on. My GP won’t put me on HRT because I have no symptoms. Im always in ketosis and blood glucose is around 4.8 to 6.0 depending on the time test is taken after food. Everything I eat I weight out portions, I put in my Keto app and I never go over my allowances. WHY AM I NOT LOSING WEIGHT. It’s really affecting my mental health. I’m in a bad place!

I think it may be the 'nut snacking' that I do while I'm cooking that has me stalled, but I'm starting to track again on Carb Manager to be sure. And like you said I need to measure - my 'go to' snack is pecans.

Oh my gosh!!! I know you are speaking the truth but this sucks. It’s like someone must be punking me! But yeah I have been eating way too much butter and cream in my coffee and dairy in general thinking it was ok. Well I lost 45 lbs which is awesome BUT now for MONTHS I’ve lost not an ounce more! 😖😖😖
