Great Muta’s Insane Retirement Show

This past Sunday, The Great Muta wrestled his last match ever, and monsters were unleashed in the main event.
Sting, Darby Allen, Akira, The Great Kabuki, a darker looking Naomichi Marifuji and the mysterious spirit known as Hakushi all converged on a Pro Wrestling NOAH ring for an event called Great Muta Final “Bye Bye”.
Now on paper this show might not actually look that great. Only two singles matches on the card, a lot of 6 man tags, and a main event filled with wrestlers mostly past their prime.
But believe or not this thing was pretty awesome. There was a CRAZY Jr heavyweight match where Ultimo Dragon and Sonny Ono showed up and don’t sleep on Kazushi Sakuraba vs Hideki Suzuki either if you like the MMA style stuff, super cool match.
As for the main event, Jinsei Shinzaki TOTALLY carried it. He got some colour, took a crazy bump and generally just looked amazing for 56 years old.
The entrances alone were goosebump inducing, you have to give it to NOAH for the production values.
