It's wonderful that he knows how great he is that he puts himselft in the top 5 of all times with no hesitation and at the same time he recognizes Shawn Michales as worthy of being on that list too despite all the beef they had. Personally I think Bret and Shawn are the greatest wrestlers wwf ever had. For a sport that everyone knows is coreographed or fake, these two men made it look like magic in movement, better than real.

Great list by Bret, and great shoutout of other wrestlers as well. As for Shawn, he was such a great performer that Bret has always praised him for his in-ring work even after the fallout of Montreal and before they buried the hatchet.

I was so happy when he put Owen in the list of his Top 5. Being the greatest in-ring technician/storyteller of all time, this list has great merit. Owen is one of the most underrated talents in wrestling history that never got his during his lifetime with far lesser talents than him not only hogging the spotlight but latching onto to the top-spot like a parasite for many years (no prizes for guessing who I'm referring to) whilst burying more deserving talents through backstage politics and family connections. I always felt Owen was right up there with Bret, Shawn, Perfect, Angle, Austin (technician before his neck injury, ironically, courtesy of Owen), Taker (best big-man wrestler of all time), etc. when it came to the GOATs of professional wrestling and higher than them all in terms of sheer talent.

I love this. The fact he puts himself on the list. And Shawn, who he despised. Let's you know he's impartial both ways. He's not letting ego sway his decision either way. He's just dropping facts. He probably believes himself #1, but he also acknowledges Shawn is top 5. And that's a solid list. Can't argue it.
