One of the greatest tragedies of AEW's history (aside from the obvious REAL tragedies like the death of Brodie Lee, obviously) was the fact that they weren't able to debut Sting in front of a full arena. Could you imagine the sound if he'd made his return both from retirement for the first time in 6 years and to TNT for the first time in almost _20_ years in front of a packed house? It would have blown the roof off. The 1000 or so people they managed to get in there at the time did their best, but it really was one of the most shocking moments in AEW's history.

Also, honestly I would have dropped Buddy Matthews from the list while keeping Keith Lee on (all respect to Buddy, he's great, but we kind of all knew he was coming) in favour of fitting William Regal in here somewhere. I know he's not an active wrestler, but his debut at Revolution was AMAZING.

The pop of the crowd during Edge's return to WWE and CM Punk's debut to AEW had me on my seat but AEW won on the pop contest for sure!

Standing in the same ring as Sting and the Hardys had to be the greatest moment in Darby's life. Next to the first time he tapped Gigi Dolan.

After all this time, I *STILL* get chills every single time I see that CM Punk return & debut. Simply done, but *MASTERFULLY* executed. Top 10 greatest moments in wrestling history, period. Greatest return of all time.

Dude's a legend in this business.
My point is his appearances should be made more special and few and not on every week's free television.
I get it stinger's there every week to help put Darby over and he's been very successful.
But I really think he should make only ppv appearances . His age doesn't favor him for weekly tv either.

Stings return was absolutely epic because I thought the injury in WWE was it but he came back put 3 years in when he had nothing left to prove he really is the ICON
