My dad fought at Guadalcanal at 18 years old in the Marine Corps. He would never speak about it either. It took me well into adulthood to realize the toll it took on him.

This is one of her most underrated songs. As a critical care nurse who held many people’s hands as I watched them die from Covid…. This song hits home for me. I never want to see suffering like that ever again in my life, but if I do, I will be there and do it all over again because I will never let anyone die alone. To have the trauma recognized and acknowledged in such a beautiful way is humbling and I am grateful. ❤

you know that's the thing i really do pay my respect to her grandfather but you know lot of indian soldiers have also sacrificed their life in ww1 2 or 3 but do anyone in this world talk about them no they don't if it's american popstar grandfather sacrifice is considered but if their is any other soldier from any other country or religion no one in america consider their sacrifice as sacrifice that's why i don't like america or any west media cause they don, t consider anyone and insults everyone except their own culture that's so inhumane of them
