Sony Is Buying Halo & Destiny Creator Bungie - IGN Daily Fix

Sony Interactive Entertainment announced today it acquired Destiny Developer Bungie for $3.6 billion.

Cyberpunk 2077 is set to receive its next-gen version. As tweeted by the PlayStation Game Size Twitter account, which regularly posts findings from across the PSN database, a new addition suggests that the long-awaited new-gen versions of the CD Projekt Red RPG may be on the way.

Creative Director Tetsuya Nomura confirms more Final Fantasy 7 spin-offs are on the way. Among statements made for Final Fantasy VII Remake's Twitter account celebrating its 25th anniversary, with Nomura and Final Fantasy VII Remake's producer, Yoshinori Kitase, reflecting on the growth of the series and its future.

As true as that was in the past, Halo is owned by 343/Microsoft, It's cool they bought Bungie for future IPs but for a couple years nothing much will change, especially on the Destiny 2 stuff except DLC etc.

Bungie only does Destiny on ps strong pass for me. Halo was what made them famous destiny is what drove me away. 🤷

Bungie devs aren’t the same devs that made Halo. They’re a different group of people. A lot of the older devs moved on from bungie.
